The Impulse to Sing: A Singing & Movement Class with Voice and Feldenkrais Teacher, Karen R. Clark

December 16 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Monday, repeating until January 27, 2020

Each class begins and ends with singing a round or simple song, and features a Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® lesson. The goal is to learn to sing and resonate from head to toe! All are invited! It is not necessary to be a singer to attend this class.

Joyful Warning: as you improve the ability to listen to your body and notice differences within yourself, you may find an overwhelming desire to SING! Dress comfortably. Mats are provided.

Karen R. Clark, contralto, is known to Bay Area audiences for her many Early Music performances and vocal workshops. The founder and director of the women’s ensemble, Vajra Voices, Karen holds degrees from the Indiana University Jacob’s School of Music, and, since 1999, is certified as a teacher of the Feldenkrais Method® of Somatic Education.
